Emma Feeney

Research Manager
Dr. Emma Feeney is the Research Manager in Food for Health Ireland (FHI). She also manages the technology workprogramme in FHI, which encompasses the production, scale up and delivery of functional food compounds, and their characterisation, from both physical and organoleptic perspectives. She obtained her PhD in 2010 in human nutrition, genetics and taste perception, and conducted postdoctoral research in human ingestive behaviour in the Sensory Evaluation Centre at the Pennsylvania State University. She has previously worked as a researcher within FHI, co-ordinating the human intervention trials aspect of the Healthy Cheeses Workpackage, and population-based research examining dairy consumption and markers of health. Her areas of research expertise include human nutrition, sensory science, and dairy research, including the effect of different dairy food matrices and their impact on human health.
