Peter Weber, PhD, MD, Corporate Science Fellow for Human Nutrition & Health in DSM Nutritional Products is based in Kaiseraugst, Switzerland. His scientific interests include the role of micronutrients inhuman health and in the prevention of chronic diseases, assessment of micronutrient status in populations and in risk groups as well as the emerging topic of Nutrition Security. He is a Professor of Nutrition at the University of Stuttgart-Hohenheim, Germany and gives lectures in Human Nutrition and Health. He has more then 70 peer-reviewed publications in the field of iodine deficiency and goiter, thyroid diseases, metabolicsyndrome, postprandial lipidmetabolism, vitamin K, vitamin status of populations, the role of vitamins and polyunsaturated fatty acids in human health and he is a co-editor of a book on vitamins.
