Sofie is an attorney at law working at the boutique life sciences law firm Axon Lawyers in Amsterdam. At Axon she specialises in legal and regulatory aspects of food, medicinal products, medical technology and data protection. Sofie frequently represents clients proceedings concerning enforcement actions by public authorities Sofie lectures on issues regarding food, medical devices and privacy. She was involved in the organisation of the Food Law Academy, is co-author of the EU food law roadmap (Landkaart Levensmiddelenrecht) and co-author of the EU Food Law Handbook and she frequently publishes on the blog www.foodhealthlegal.com. Sofie is a member of the Dutch Association for Food Law (NVLR), the Dutch Association for Administrative Law (VAR), The Dutch Association for Pharmaceutical Law, the International Association for Privacy Professionals and the Regulatory Affairs Professionals Society (RAPS).
