Currently, Michel Messora is a full-time professor in the School of Dentistry of Ribeirao Preto, University of Sao Paulo (FORP/USP), Vice-Chairman of the Department of Oral Surgery and Periodontology and Coordinator of the Animal Research Ethics Committee. He is advisor (Master’s and PhD degrees) in the Post-Graduate Program in Dentistry (Periodontology) and in the Post-Graduate Program in Oral Biology at FORP/USP. He coordinates several pre-clinical (in vitro and in animals) and clinical studies, with government funding, to investigate the immunoinflammatory and microbiological effects of probiotics on the prevention and treatment of periodontal diseases.
