Our interdisciplinary group (www.iml-pro.si) is devoted to the development of modern methods for the quality control of probiotic products and to the research of new strains - candidates for industrial probiotics. We have established cooperation with food and pharmaceutical industries including the quality control, consulting in the field of probiotic safety and functionality, support in the development and registration of products (OTC drugs, probiotic dietary supplements or functional foods) and participation in the clinical trials.
