Bifidogenic - enhancing fermented milk components as an exciting alternative to fibres

FHI has done some very interesting discovery work on bifidogenic-enhancing fermented milk components. Instead of a GOS/FOS mix or other fibers that are commonly added to infant milk formula, we have shown in vitro and in vivo that we can achieve more potent effects with fermented milk components. Although initially focusing on the infants microbiome, these components could also be applied to other life stages where manipulation of the microbiome could significantly improve health like for example, in the elderly.
